You're on the Waiting List
The crow on the skull is made of paper mache', is
12 .5 inches high, with glass eyes, and metal legs from a taxidermist. The tiny feathers across the shoulders are ovals cut from 90 lb. watercolour paper.
The skull was cast in paper and resin from a real skull.
I saw a small netsuke (a small Japanese sculpture)
at the Royal Ontario Museum, with a raven on top of a skull and that was my inspiration.
Several titles came to mind involving greed as the crow is looking at the gold tooth in the skull.

The Dance of Spring is the dance of life.
5x5x2.5inches, this is a wooden box with a 23 K gold covered wooden egg as a handle. The box is lacquered in black. This is the best lettering I have done. The versals were painted on in gold acrylic using a magnifying glass. The egg, of course, is a symbol of spring.
