About

Mary Conley
I have had a lifelong passion for art . I trained at the Honolulu Academy, the Vancouver Art School, and the Bank Street School of Art in Victoria. Some might say I'm a workshop junkie, having taken classes in sculpture, batik, copper enameling, airbrush, watercolour, calligraphy, oil painting and pastel. I love to paint and draw, make pop-up books and paper mache' sculpture. I've selected some of my work for your perusal.

My most recent project is a book called Artistry of Art Deco : An illustrated selection of buildings in Greater Victoria. Some of the illustrations are on display at the Royal Jubilee Hospital until the end of March 2019 and at the Monterey Library in Oak Bay until the end of April. The book and the posters are for sale  through my website.  Please send me your email address for a response. The book is also available at Ivy's Bookstore, Monro's Bookstore, The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Bolen's and Tanner's in Sidney.

My husband, David Gray, is a professional sculptor and helped me make some of the bigger sculptures,  Buttercup, the cow and Tweedledee and Tweedledee, which sits in our front hall. We live in Victoria, beautiful British Columbia , Canada.
